The visit of Bente and Henning

As always, having Bente and Henning from Denmark in Tanzania has been a blessing, but this time their presence was a little bit different. They came along with their son who has a wife and two children. When they arrived on 6 th April 2023, ALJECO staff warmly welcomed them to the orphanage as well. Jennifer, co-founder of the orphanage, was also present. As ALJECO kids were excited and curious to see them again and enjoy the Easter together.

Danish supporters collaborated with ALJECO Tanzania staff before their visit to ensure the visit was smooth and meaningful. The specific needs of the children were discussed to develop a plan to meet these needs. They brought with them a range of donations including educational materials, clothing and essential supplies. These contributions were carefully selected based on the specific needs of the orphanage aiming to improve the children’s quality of life. Seeing the children and visitors interact in such a heartwarming manner was indeed an uplifting experience.

During their visit they actively engaged with the children, organizing various activities and games to create a joyful and enriching environment. They spent time playing sports, teaching arts and crafts. These activities not only brought happiness to the children but also helped develop their skills and boost their self-esteem. They have visited childrens families in Mvumi. Additionally, this noble act offers hope to these children and fosters a sense of community and understanding among them. In this way, supporters gained an in-depth understanding of the environment conditions in which ALJECO children come from. The childrens relatives showed

a lot of love to supporters despite the poor conditions they have. By sharing what they harvested from farms, such as groundnuts and maize, supporters expressed their love and compassion for childrens relatives.

The visitors were profoundly moved by the children's resilience and optimism. As they witnessed the positive results of their contributions and commitment to supporting theorphanage, a renewed sense of hope and love was felt by the children. This was  because people from distant lands cared about their well-being. Thus, the donors strengthened their connection to the children, leaving a legacy of compassion and kindness that will never be forgotten.
